Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about pricing, dumpster rentals, junk removal, property cleanouts, accepted materials, and our Southern California service area.
Clear pricing before the job
Every quote is based on the actual material, labor, access, and location involved.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing depends on the amount and type of material, weight, labor, access, and job location. Junk removal is generally priced by volume. Larger property cleanouts are quoted based on the complete scope of work. Dumpster pricing also considers the rental period, material type, and delivery location.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. Send clear photos with the city or ZIP code for the fastest estimate. For larger or more complex cleanouts, we can schedule a free on site assessment.
Can you provide a quote from photos?
In many cases, yes. Wide photos or a short video help us estimate the volume, labor, and equipment needed. Please include stairs, gates, elevators, long carrying distances, or unusually heavy items.
Do you charge by the hour?
Most junk removal and cleanout jobs receive a clear total quote based on the full scope, not an open ended hourly charge. Any special labor or additional work will be explained before the job begins.
Is the price the same for every full load?
No. A full load of ordinary household items is different from a load containing dense construction debris, roofing, dirt, concrete, tile, or other heavy material. We confirm the material before providing final pricing.
What we remove and how it works
Choose a dumpster when you want to load it yourself, or choose full service removal when you want our crew to do the lifting.
What is the difference between dumpster rental and junk removal?
With a dumpster rental, we deliver the bin and you load it yourself during the rental period. With junk removal, our crew removes the items from the property, loads them, and hauls everything away during a scheduled visit.
What types of property cleanouts do you handle?
We handle whole home and estate cleanouts, rental and tenant cleanouts, garages, storage areas, offices, warehouses, commercial properties, and other large removal projects.
What items do you remove?
We remove furniture, appliances, mattresses, household clutter, electronics, yard debris, scrap metal, warehouse equipment, and most general nonhazardous junk. Contact us if you are unsure about a particular item.
Is loading and labor included?
Full service junk removal and property cleanouts include the crew, loading, hauling, and proper disposal described in your quote. Labor is not included with a standard dumpster rental unless it is specifically added.
Are there materials you cannot accept?
Hazardous chemicals, fuel, wet paint, asbestos, medical waste, hot ashes, explosives, and certain regulated materials cannot be placed with ordinary junk. Please ask before including batteries, propane tanks, pressure treated wood, or other questionable materials.
How is Sustainable Cleanouts environmentally responsible?
We separate recyclable metals and recover useful material whenever practical. Copper, aluminum, brass, wiring, motors, steel, and other recyclable items are sorted before processing to reduce unnecessary landfill disposal.
Plan the right service
Material type, weight, placement, and access are especially important when scheduling a dumpster.
What size dumpster do you offer?
Our roll off dumpster holds 17 cubic yards and measures approximately 15 feet long, 91 inches wide, and 4 feet high. It works well for household cleanouts, bulky items, remodeling debris, and general property cleanup.
How long is the standard dumpster rental?
Our standard rental period is three days unless your quote states otherwise. Tell us the delivery and pickup dates you prefer so we can confirm availability.
Can I put concrete, dirt, roofing, or tile in the dumpster?
Contact us before loading heavy materials. Concrete, dirt, roofing, tile, brick, and similar debris can quickly exceed weight limits and may require a restricted loading level or a separate quote.
Where can the dumpster be placed?
The placement area must be firm, level, accessible to our truck, and clear of low branches, wires, gates, and parked vehicles. Send a photo of the proposed area so we can review access before delivery.
How soon can you schedule service?
Availability varies. Send your city or ZIP code, preferred date, service type, and photos. We will confirm the earliest available appointment and any access requirements.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties. Extended travel may be available for larger estate, rental, commercial, warehouse, and whole property cleanouts.
